The true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, born Lothar Berfelde, who killed her brutal Nazi father when she was a teen and then survived the Nazi and Communist regimes in East Berlin as a transgender person. In 1992 she was presented The Federal Cross of Merit by the Chancellor for her lifelong work to preserve German antiquities. James P. Darvas plays 27 roles in this compelling play. The production, staged by PowPAC's sister theater, New Group West, has been selected for the AACTFest National competition in Grand Rapids MI and will be presented in its hour-long competition format. Your support will help the company reach its goal and take the show to Nationals! Performances are Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 and 8:00 p.m.!
