Update to PowPAC's Covid-19 Policy for Patrons

We are thrilled to be back producing live theatre for our 40th Season! We are so pleased that many of you have joined us for our first half of the season.

The health and safety of audiences, artists, staff, and the entire community are the highest priority for PowPAC, Poway's Community Theatre, especially as circumstances surrounding COVID-19 continue to evolve. Through close consultation with medical and public health officials, we have announced a new set of policies for attending a play or event at PowPAC.

All patrons who attend a performance or event at PowPAC will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present proof of vaccination, or present negative results of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance.

"Fully vaccinated" is defined by the CDC as being at least 14 days after the receipt of the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (such as the currently available Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna) or one dose of a single-dose vaccine (like Johnson & Johnson).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is 1) the physical COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card issued to the patron at the time of vaccination, 2) a photograph of the patronís COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, or 3) a digital vaccination record.

All residents of California may request a Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record Patrons who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination will be required to present the negative results of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of entering PowPAC. Other tests, including rapid tests and over-the-counter tests, will not be accepted as proof of negative results of COVID-19.

Patrons attending performances must wear masks throughout the performance as an additional safety measure, regardless of vaccination or testing status.

To find testing locations and to schedule a free COVID-19 test, visit San Diego County Test Scheduler.

All documents will be checked by PowPAC staff members before patrons will be admitted to the theatre. PowPAC reserves the right to deny admission to any patron who does not provide the necessary documentation or follow any COVID-related policy. We will continue to evaluate our COVID policy and update as required.

Working together, we will get through this health crisis. We appreciate your continued support and patronage of PowPAC; and look forward to seeing at our Community Theatre.
